[EN]: The interest in conducting this thesis is due to two main reasons. On the one hand the strong growth of Sociology in Spain in recent times, on the other hand the lack of research on doctoral theses in the field of sociology. The purpose of this work is to study the actors involved in the developing process of Sociology doctoral theses in Spain between 1976 and 2013. The aim is to identify the structure of the underlying relationships among academics, to create a map of academic positions in the field of Sociology and to identify research trends.
